‘Enough with this nonsense,’ writes Prasiddhi hinting PM Oli’s remarks on COVID-19

KATHMANDU: Prasiddhi Shrestha, who recovered from COVID-19, has lambasted Prime Minister KP Oli for making nonsense remarks on coronavirus pandemic and its treatment.

She took to Twitter to say: “Enough with this nonsense.”

Prime Minister Oli in his address the National Assembly on Thursday had compared coronavirus with common flu saying that it can be overcome in a jiffy if taken hot water and natural spices.

Shrestha writes: “As someone who has experienced COVID-19 and its symptoms, I have got to say that the disease is not like a general flu. Patients run out of breathe, energy, appetite and motivation.”

She has suggested not to disregard a patient’s pain for the sake of anyone’s entertainment.
