President to authenticate Constitution Amendment Bill today itself



KATHMANDU: The 2nd Constitution Amendment Bill, 2077 is being sent to Shital Niwas for authentication after being endorsed by both the House of Representatives and the National Assembly on Thursday.

A meeting of the National Assembly has unanimously endorsed the 2nd Constitution Amendment Bill, 2077 to implement the new map incorporating Kalapani, Limpiyadhura, and Lipu Lekh on Thursday. The Bill was passed on last Saturday by the House of Representatives.

Talking to Khabarhub, Dr Bheshraj Adhikari, personal aide of the President, said President Bidya Devi Bhandari will authenticate the Bill once it arrives at the Office of the President.

“We are preparing to authenticate the Bill today itself since it is endorsed by the Houses,” said Adhikari.

Once it is authenticate and published in the national gazette, Limpiyadhura, Lipu Lekh and Kalapani will officially belong to Nepal.
