Fire at Inaruwa bazaar causes loss of over Rs 100 million



INARUWA: Property worth over millions of rupees was gutted in a fire that broke out at the Inaruwa bazaar on Sunday.

The fire destroyed two cloth stores, one hardware shop, one tailoring center and a finance building in Inaruwa, the district headquarters of Sunsari.

The fire that broke out from the Hanuman Bastralaya in Inaruwa bazaar later reduced three other shops and a finance building to ashes, according to Inaruwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Birendra Kumar Shah.

Fire fighters from Dharan, Itahari, Sundarharaicha, Biratnagar, Saptari, Barahachhetra and Dubai extinguished the fire.

According to local trader Gulab Sharma, the fire is estimated to cause the loss of over Rs 100 million.
