273 cases confirmed, Nepal’s coronavirus tally reaches 5,335



KATHMANDU: Nepal has reported 273 new positive cases of coronavirus taking the tally to 5,335 on Saturday.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on Saturday, Spokesperson at the Ministry, Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that among the newly-infected are 237 males and 36 females.

In the last 24 hours, 5,661 samples have been tested through PCR, said Spokesperson Dr. Gautam.

Meanwhile, 36 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovery.

At present, 4,404 people are in isolation and 150,549 are in quarantines across the country.

A total of 913 people have been discharged after recovery and 18 have died so far.
