Ex-King Gyanendra expresses sorrow over storm-induced deaths

KATHMANDU: Former King Gyanendra Shah has expressed deep sorrow over the deaths and propriety damages caused by the deadly cyclone that ripped through Bara district of Province 2 on Sunday evening.

“I am deeply shocked by the windstorm that lashed out at Bara and Parsad districts on Sunday evening, causing deaths and damages of properties,” said Gyanendra Shah, adding, “I would like to express condole the deaths and wish speedy recovery of those who sustained critical injuries in the incident.”

A deadly tornado ripped through Bhaluhi, Bharbaliya, Feta, Chainpur and Dharmapur areas of Bara district yesterday evening, the worst cyclone in history that killed 32 people and injured over 500 people.
