Five new coronavirus cases in Gandaki Pradesh, tally hits 197

KATHMANDU: Five new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Gandaki Pradesh on Saturday morning.

With the new confirmed cases, the number of coronavirus infection cases has reached 197 in the province.

According to the Ministry of Social Development of Gandaki Pradesh, the newly infected are four from Parbat and one from Nawalparasi East.

The infected are a minor boy and 17-year-old girl from Kushma municipality, 17-year-old boy of Jaljala rural municipality and 16-year-old male from Mahashila rural municipality.

Similarly, a 45-year-old man from Madhyabindu municipality in Nawalparasi East has been infected with coronavirus.

The preparations are underway to take them to isolations, said Spokesperson for the Coronavirus Control and Prevention Program of Gandaki Pradesh Dr Binod Bindu Sharma.

A person has died, 11 recovered among 197 coronavirus cases confirmed in the province.
