COVID-19 health facility comes into operation at Mahakali hospital

KANCHANPUR: A corona health facility constructed on the premises of the Mahakali hospital in Bhimduttanagar of Kanchanpur has come into operation.

Social Development Minister of Sudurpaschim state, Krishna Raj Subedi, inaugurated the 50-bed hospital today.

On the occasion, Minister Subedi said that activities have been emphatically carried out to not let coronavirus infection spread in the Sudurpaschim state.

He further said, “There is a higher need of health institutions in the state to tackle such pandemic”, urging one and all to remain proactive to boost up the morale of the infected people.

Minister Subedi shared that the situation was getting more complex so increased responses have become an urgent need to stem the virus outbreak.

He also mentioned that so far the Sudurpaschim state is less infected as compared to other states and added that preparation was underway to develop Mahakali Hospital as Sub-state hospital.

A total of 33 coronavirus infected people from Kanchanpur and Kailali districts are receiving treatment at the hospital. The hospital was constructed at the cost of Rs 9.2 million. RSS
