10th national games to be held in Karnali Province or Province 2



KATHMANDU: Minister for youth and sports Jagat Bahadur Biswakarma has said that the Nepal’s sports sector will retain its track after the end of the Coronavirus pandemic.

He said that the government could not allocate sufficient budget for the sports sector due to the pandemic.

He also shared that the government had allocated budget for various sports association as well as for the athletes’ insurance coverage. A monthly stipend of Rs. 6,000 will be provided to the gold medal winners of the 13th South Asian Games.

Budget has been allocated for the 9th national games to be held in Gandaki State in the month of Falgun while the 10th games will be held in Karnali state or State-2, he added.

He also refuted accusations by some MPs charging him of allocating more budget in minister’s home town and benefiting financially from All Nepal Football Association.
