Brazil reports 31, 278 deaths, 556,668 infection cases



KATHMANDU: The death toll in Brazil has crossed 31, 000 from Coronavirus in the last five months.

According to Worldometer, the death toll has reached 31, 278 after 1,232 died in the last 24 hours.

With 27, 263 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 556,668 as of Wednesday morning.

Currently, 284,763 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 8,318 are critical. Meanwhile, 240,627 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 381,706 and infecting 6,473, 216 people so far.
