NCC comes up with suggestions to ease lockdown



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has come up with suggestions to ease the coronavirus lockdown imposed throughout the country.

NCC has proposed allowing and barring different activities after dividing the country into three zones— green, yellow and red.

As per the suggestions, all sorts of activities should be closed from 8 pm to 5 am next day in all three zones, inter-province transportation should be halted in three zones and domestic flights too should be suspended.

Similarly, it has been proposed to close schools, religious places, theaters, malls, gyms and sports activities all the zones.

NCC has suggested that restaurants should be allowed to operate take away services in green and yellow zones and departmental stores should be allowed to open in all the zones.

Likewise, banks and financial institutions, agriculture sector, postal and courier, goods delivery and construction should be allowed in all the zones.

As per the proposal, inter-district bus services can be operated in green and yellow zones by maintaining social distancing.

NCC has suggested allowing operation of four-wheelers with three people in all zones and two-wheelers with two people in green and yellow zones and one person in red zone.

Retail and wholesale shops can be opened in green and yellow zones on alternatives days and saloons can be opened in green and yellow zone, as per the proposal.
