All dead, injured in Banke accident test COVID-19 negative



KATHMANDU: All the passengers injured and killed in a road accident in Banke district on Sunday midnight have tested negative for coronavirus.

According to Dr. Prakash Bahadur Thapa, Medical Superintendent of Bheri Hospital, the PCR test reports of 12 dead and 21 injured came negative.

The dead body will be handed to the family as the results came negative.

As many as 12 people died and 21 injured in the road accident that occurred at Thuriya of Raptisonari-2 along the East-West Highway.

According to Dr. Thapa, 11 people died on the spot while one died at the hospital.

Similarly, the health condition of four of the 21 injured is critical, said Dr. Thapa.
