Over 2,700 Nepalis entered Nepal via Gaddachauki

KATHMANDU: Over 2,700 Nepali people have entered Nepal through Gaddachauki checkpoint on Friday.

According to District Administration Office (DAO), Kanchanpur, 2,778  Nepalis stranded on the Nepal-India border were rescued yesterday.

Those rescued from the no man’s land zone have been sent to their respective home districts and those from Kanchanpur have been kept in quarantine set up in the local units, added the DAO

“Those rescued have been sent to their home districts,” SP of Armed Police Force battalion-35, Jhalari, Birsing Sahu said adding, “Their details were taken and health screening conducted.”

Meanwhile, 178 Indian nationals returned home via Gaddachauki on Friday.
