COVID-19 claims nearly 28,000 people in Brazil



KATHMANDU: The death toll in Brazil has reached nearly 28,000 from Coronavirus in the last five months.

According to Worldometer, the death toll in the country has reached 27,944 after 1,180 died in the last 24 hours.

With 29, 526 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 468,338, the largest number after America, as of Saturday morning.

Currently, 247,213 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 8,318 are critical. Meanwhile, 193,181 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 366,418 and infecting 6,026,375 people so far.
