Home Minister holds meeting with APF officials, focuses on disaster preparedness and border security



KATHMANDU: Home Minister Sudan Gurung is holding discussions with senior officials of the Armed Police Force at Halchowk.

The meeting, attended by Inspector General Raju Aryal and other top officials, is reviewing ongoing work and identifying areas that require improvement.

Discussions have primarily focused on preparedness for disaster management, with detailed deliberations on strengthening response mechanisms.

Both the Home Minister and security officials stressed the need for effective strategies, resource management, and coordination to minimize potential disaster risks.

The meeting also decided to intensify border patrols to control illegal activities in border areas.

The Home Minister informed the meeting that strict directives have already been issued to concerned agencies to curb smuggling activities.
