Tree falls inside Nepal Airlines premises amid storm, damages gate and wall



KATHMANDU: A large tree fell inside the premises of Nepal Airlines Corporation on Thursday evening following strong winds and rainfall, causing damage to the corporation’s gate and boundary wall.

According to Nepal Airlines, the incident occurred at around 8 pm when the tree collapsed within the corporation’s compound. Efforts to remove the fallen tree are currently underway with the assistance of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

The corporation said no human casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. However, movement within the premises was temporarily disrupted after the tree fell due to the strong winds.

The Kathmandu Valley has witnessed continuous rainfall and windstorms in recent days, increasing the risk of weather-related incidents.
