KATHMANDU: Nepal national cricket team suffered a 102-run defeat against Oman national cricket team in an ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 match at TU Ground on Wednesday.
The rain-affected game was decided under the DLS method, with Oman emerging victorious.
Chasing a target of 306 runs, Nepal managed only 155 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 36.5 overs. Dipendra Singh Airee was the top scorer for Nepal with a half-century, making 60 runs.
Earlier, Oman, opting to bat first, posted 305 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 50 overs. Oman captain Jatinder Singh scored a century, contributing 130 runs.
For Nepal, Sompal Kami took four wickets, while Sandeep Lamichhane and Airee claimed two wickets each.
