NRB issues today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign exchange rates for Wednesday.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is Rs 150.97, while the selling rate is Rs 151.57. The euro is being traded at Rs 176.57 (buying) and Rs 177.27 (selling), and the UK pound sterling at Rs 203.55 (buying) and Rs 204.36 (selling). The Swiss franc stands at Rs 191.16 for buying and Rs 191.92 for selling.

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is valued at Rs 108.13 (buying) and Rs 108.56 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 110.46 and Rs 110.90, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 118.18 and Rs 118.65.

For Asian and Middle Eastern currencies, the buying and selling rates for 10 Japanese yen are Rs 9.45 and Rs 9.49 respectively. The Chinese yuan is priced at Rs 22.08 (buying) and Rs 22.17 (selling), the Saudi riyal at Rs 40.25 and Rs 40.41, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 41.41 and Rs 41.58.

Similarly, the Thai baht is valued at Rs 4.64 (buying) and Rs 4.66 (selling), the UAE dirham at Rs 41.10 and Rs 41.26, and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 38.20 and Rs 38.35. The South Korean won (per 100 units) stands at Rs 10.23 (buying) and Rs 10.27 (selling), while the Swedish kronor is at Rs 16.28 and Rs 16.34, and the Danish kronor at Rs 23.63 and Rs 23.72.

Other currencies include the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.26 (buying) and Rs 19.34 (selling), the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 492.72 and Rs 494.68, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 400.19 and Rs 401.78, and the Omani rial at Rs 392.12 and Rs 393.68. The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160 (buying) and Rs 160.15 (selling).

The central bank noted that exchange rates are subject to revision at any time as needed. Rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated figures are available on the bank’s official website.
