Five killed in separate road accidents



KATHMANDU: Five people lost their lives in separate road accidents in different parts of the country over the past two days.

According to the Central Police Newsroom, 19-year-old Ramjiwan Sah of Sonma Rural Municipality-5, Mahottari, died after his motorcycle collided with another motorcycle.

In Gulmi, 55-year-old Tulsi Thapa was killed when a jeep traveling from Chandrakot to Shantipur met with an accident at Ripa in Chandrakot Rural Municipality-4.

Similarly, 86-year-old Gore Rai of Triyuga Municipality-11, Udayapur, died when a jeep traveling from Kathmandu to Hetauda crashed at Egharghumti in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-6, Makawanpur.

According to the newsroom’s bulletin, 70-year-old pedestrian Urmila Devi Mahato of Dhangadhimai Municipality-6, Siraha, was killed on Saturday evening after being hit by a motorcycle traveling from Musarniya to Dahipuri.

In another incident, 21-year-old Ton Bahadur Ale Magar of Rising Rural Municipality-3, Tanahun, died in a motorcycle accident at Astha Chowk in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-12, Chitwan.
