High demand for tickets for Nepal matches in ICC T20 World Cup 2026

KATHMANDU: There has been strong demand for tickets for matches involving the Nepali national cricket team in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.

According to a report by The Times of India, tickets for Nepal’s four matches scheduled at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium have recorded the second-highest sales after India.

The reports highlight that ticket demand for Nepal’s matches ranks just behind host nation India, reflecting the growing popularity of Nepali cricket among fans. For the tournament, Wankhede Stadium has been designated as Nepal’s home venue, where the team will play four group-stage matches.

Nepal will begin its World Cup campaign against England on February 8, followed by matches against Italy on February 12, West Indies on February 15, and Scotland on February 17.

Prior to the main tournament, Nepal is also scheduled to play two T20 practice matches and two warm-up games as part of its World Cup preparations.
