Bakra Eid strengthens cultural harmony: Chairman Dahal



KATHMANDU: National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal has expressed confidence that Bakra Eid (Eid-ul-Azha), which carries the message of dedication, humanity, tolerance and charity, will further strengthen religious and cultural harmony.

Extending his best wishes on the occasion of Bakra Eid, the holy festival of Muslims, he said the festival inspires people to promote unity, brotherhood and social cooperation.

Stating that the Constitution of Nepal defines the country as multi-ethnic, multilingual, multicultural and multi-religious, Chairman Dahal said unity in diversity is the identity of national strength and civilization.

“I am confident that such festivals will further strengthen the culture of mutual respect, harmony and coexistence in Nepali society and reinforce national unity,” he said in his message.
