International flights to seven destinations cancelled from TIA



KATHMANDU: International flights from Tribhuvan International Airport to seven international destinations have been cancelled following airspace restrictions.

Flights to Sharjah, Doha, Dubai, Kuwait City, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Dammam scheduled for this afternoon and night have been called off, according to Tek Nath Sitaula, General Manager of Tribhuvan International Airport.

“Flights to Sharjah, Doha, Dubai, Kuwait City, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Dammam have been cancelled due to airspace restrictions. All afternoon and night departures from Nepal to these destinations have been suspended.

Information will be provided once a decision is made on when the flights will resume,” he said.

The airport office has urged passengers to contact their respective airlines before heading to the airport for their scheduled flights.
