NC finalizing election strategy ahead of March 5 polls

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress is preparing its strategy for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5.

An election deployment committee, chaired by party Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma, is drafting the party’s election operational manual.

Officials and members holding various responsibilities across the party will be mobilized in their respective areas from February 4 to March 5. The manual will follow a “last 30 days of the election: everyone reports to their assigned responsibility” principle.

Vice President Sharma shared this during a special provincial-level internal discussion at the party’s central office.

By Tuesday, discussions in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces were completed. On Wednesday, deliberations for Gandaki Province are underway.

According to Sharma’s secretariat, participants in the discussions include current and former central office bearers representing their provinces, district contact committee chairpersons, and Nepali Congress supporters and youth engaged in various professions in Kathmandu.
