KATHMANDU: Flood victims in Nuwakot have begun retrieving whatever belongings they can salvage from homes reduced to rubble by the devastating floods.
Locals in Dhungebazar and Devighat Bazaar have been collecting clothes, notebooks, books, metal water vessels and other household items from their damaged homes.
Many residents have been left with little after the flood swept through their settlements, destroying homes and property within a short period.
Some locals were also seen sitting quietly in front of the remains of their houses, surveying the destruction left behind by the disaster.
The flood has caused widespread damage to homes and infrastructure across several districts, leaving affected families struggling to recover their belongings and rebuild their lives.
