ADB expresses solidarity with Nepal amid devastating floods

KATHMANDU: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has expressed solidarity with the people of Nepal following devastating floods in the Rasuwagadhi border area and other parts of northern Nepal.

In a Facebook post, the ADB said the flooding had caused immense loss, leaving families grieving, communities waiting for information about their loved ones, and homes and roads swept away.

“Our thoughts are with the people of Nepal,” the ADB said, expressing support for those affected by the disaster.

The development partner said it stood with Nepal and was prepared to support the country’s response and recovery efforts in the coming weeks.
