KATHMANDU: The government has allocated Rs 25 million in emergency assistance to three districts affected by the Bhotekoshi floods.
According to Ram Bahadur KC, under secretary at the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), Rs 10 million has been provided to Rasuwa, another Rs 10 million to Nuwakot and Rs 5 million to Dhading.
Meanwhile, 37 flights have so far been conducted as part of the rescue operation for flood victims. NDRRMA spokesperson Shanti Mahat said 305 people have been rescued by helicopter to date.
