Bangladesh offers relief and rescue support to Nepal



KATHMANDU: Bangladesh has expressed solidarity with Nepal following the sudden flash floods and landslides that have caused loss of life and extensive damage, according to a statement issued by the Bangladesh Foreign Ministry.

The ministry said the government and people of Bangladesh, led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, stand with the government and people of Nepal during the difficult period.

It conveyed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wished for the early recovery and safe return of those reported missing.

Bangladesh also said it is ready to provide assistance to Nepal in relief and rescue operations in any way possible.
