Two children die after being hit by car in Tanahun



TANAHUN: Two children died after being hit by a car at Markichowk in Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality-2, Tanahun, along the Prithvi Highway.

The victims have been identified as six-year-old Sayana Thapa and five-year-old Uliam Thapa, both residents of Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality-2, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Dwarika Prasad Ghimire of the District Police Office, Tanahun.

The children were returning home from school on Friday afternoon when they were struck by a car bearing an Indian registration number.

They sustained critical injuries and died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chitwan on Saturday morning, police said.
