Heat in Terai, clouds and rain likely in hills and mountains

KATHMANDU: Weather conditions across the country are being influenced by a mix of westerly winds, local air patterns, and a low-pressure system over eastern Nepal, bringing a combination of heat, clouds, and possible rainfall.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are expected to remain mostly cloudy, while other provinces will see partly cloudy skies in hilly and mountainous regions and generally fair weather elsewhere.

There is a chance of light to moderate rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning in some hilly and mountainous areas, particularly in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki, and at a few locations in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim.

Meanwhile, the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim are likely to experience hot daytime conditions.
