Cold wave intensifies across Nepal; Kathmandu’s minimum dips to 5°C



KATHMANDU: Cold weather has intensified across the country on Tuesday, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division of Nepal.

The minimum temperature in the Kathmandu Valley has dropped to between 5 and 7 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 17 to 19 degrees Celsius.

In Pokhara, the minimum temperature has been recorded between 9 and 11 degrees Celsius, with the maximum likely to range from 20 to 22 degrees Celsius.

Biratnagar is forecast to experience a minimum temperature of 10 to 11 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is expected to hover between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius.

In Taplejung, the minimum temperature has fallen to 5 to 7 degrees Celsius, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 15 to 17 degrees Celsius.

Similarly, Dadeldhura is experiencing a minimum temperature of 4 to 6 degrees Celsius, while the maximum is estimated to range between 15 and 17 degrees Celsius.

In Birendranagar, the minimum temperature has been recorded between 5 and 7 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 21 to 23 degrees Celsius.
