NOC directs LPG industries to issue VAT bills

KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has directed liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) industries across the country to issue value-added tax (VAT) bills when selling cooking gas to customers.

The LPG and Aviation Department of NOC said it had received complaints that gas industries were failing to issue invoices during sales.

In response, the department has circulated a notice to all LPG industries, reminding them of the mandatory requirement to issue VAT bills to customers.

The circular, signed by NOC Director and Engineer Binitmani Upadhyay, also noted that similar letters had previously been sent to the concerned association on August 14, 2024, and January 23, 2025.
