Ncell provides free voice and data services in flood-affected Rasuwa

KATHMANDU: Ncell has announced free voice and data services for three days for residents in areas of Rasuwa affected by the devastating floods that struck the district on Wednesday morning.

According to the telecom company, customers in the affected areas will be able to use voice and data services at no cost for three days. Ncell will also provide 100 free SMS messages, valid during the same period.

The company said the initiative is intended to help flood-affected people remain in contact with their families, relatives and emergency rescue and relief personnel.

Ncell emphasized that reliable communication is particularly important during disasters, as uninterrupted connectivity allows affected communities to share vital information and coordinate with rescue and relief teams.

The telecom operator added that it has previously supported emergency search, rescue and relief operations during natural disasters. The latest measure, it said, is aimed at ensuring that communication services remain accessible to people in the affected areas during the ongoing emergency.
