RSP releases vote count of 32 elected central committee members



KATHMANDU: The vote tally of 32 central committee members elected during the first general convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been made public.

According to the Election Commission, Swarnim Wagle secured the highest number of votes in the open category with 2,656 votes.

Other winners in the open category include Sobita Gautam with 2,641 votes, Shishir Khanal with 2,538, Sagar Dhakal with 2,376, Dr. Toshima Karki with 2,302, Ranju Darshana with 2,293, Manish Jha with 2,281, Hari Dhakal with 2,262, Kavindra Burlakoti with 2,227, Bipin Kumar Acharya with 2,169, Ramesh Prasai with 2,166 and Nisha Dangi with 2,132 votes.

Similarly, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha received 2,123 votes, Indira Rana Magar 2,090, Ganesh Parajuli 2,087, Pukar Bam 2,070, Jagadish Kharel (Lalitpur) 2,065, Sulav Kharel 2,043, Yagyamani Neupane 1,903, Pramod Neupane 1,892, Sasmita Pokharel 1,864 and Rima Bishwakarma 1,845 votes.

Candidates Raghuraj Pandey secured 1,840 votes, Rajiv Khatri 1,745, Samikshya Baskota 1,739, Ganesh Karki 1,734, Khagendra Sunar 1,733, Ashim Shah 1,730, Himesh Pant 1,650, Jagadish Kharel (Dolakha) 1,552, Geeta Chaudhary 1,537 and Lima Adhikari Acharya 1,536 votes.

Under the inclusive category, 10 central committee members were elected from the Khas Arya group, nine from Indigenous nationalities, two from the Tharu community, five from the Madhesi group, four from the Dalit category, two from the Muslim category, and five members each from all seven provinces.
