‘MoFA Mitra’ mobile app launched for online consular service



Foreign Minister Khanal also expressed the commitment to continue expanding the service, which was launched with the aim of increasing access to services through technology.

On the occasion, Director General of the department, Durapada Sapkota, said that the app will be used to protect the rights and interests of Nepalis living abroad and to seek assistance in times of difficulty. She also that the app will be easy for matters such as corpse management, compensation, insurance claims, etc.

Information Technology Officer of the department, Nabin Kumar Jha, said that the mobile app has been launched targeting Nepali citizens living abroad. He said that services including inquiries, rescue, complaints, corpse management can be availed from this.
