Woman dies after house collapse during storm in Rautahat



RAUTAHAT: A woman died after being trapped under a collapsed house during a storm in Rautahat last evening.

The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Phul Kumari Devi of Brindavan Municipality-7, Dhamouratol. According to Acting Information Officer at the District Police Office, Rohit Kumar Sharma Bohara, she sustained critical injuries when a mud house with a tiled roof collapsed during strong winds.

She was rushed to Better Nepal Hospital in Garuda for treatment, where doctors pronounced her dead during the night.

Police said the incident occurred when the single-storey mud house collapsed due to the storm.
