Pokhara Metropolitan continues drive to remove encroachments along Firke Khola



POKHARA: The Pokhara Metropolitan City has continued its campaign to remove structures built by encroaching on the Firke Khola area.

According to the metropolis, the ongoing drive will demolish 35 permanent and 97 temporary private structures, along with 18 permanent and 10 temporary institutional structures built along the river corridor.

The city authorities said the campaign to clear encroachments along the river has been continued as part of its broader efforts to restore public land and waterways.

The metropolitan office added that the action is being carried out as part of its regular enforcement against illegal settlements and unauthorized constructions along the Firke Khola area.
