One person dies in lodge fire in Kailali



KAILALI: A laborer died last night after a fire broke out at a lodge in Ghodaghodi Municipality-1, Sukhad, Kailali.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramesh Dutta Awasthi of the Area Police Office, Sukhad, the deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Min Bahadur Bohara of Gangkhet, Alital Rural Municipality in Dadeldhura.

Police said the fire reportedly started after mosquito-repellent materials made from crates were ignited. Bohara had been using egg crates as a mosquito repellent when the fire broke out.

The fire was brought under control with the help of locals and police. Details of the damage are still being assessed.
