National Assembly election: Over 300 cast votes in Madhesh Province



JANAKPURDHAM: More than 300 voters cast their ballots by 2:00 pm in the National Assembly election being held in Janakpurdham, the capital of Madhesh Province.

The election, which features 11 candidates competing for four National Assembly seats, has a total of 364 eligible voters, including members of the Madhesh Provincial Assembly as well as mayors and deputy mayors of municipalities and rural municipalities.

According to Subhas Babu Puri, Election Officer of the National Assembly Election Office, Madhesh Province Chief Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav, Speaker Ram Ashish Yadav, Deputy Speaker Babita Raut Iser, and other officials have already cast their votes. Voting began at 9:00 am today and will conclude at 3:00 pm.
