KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has ordered the immediate release of political analyst Bharat Dahal.
A joint bench of Justices Kumar Regmi and Pokharel issued the order on Thursday while hearing a habeas corpus petition filed on behalf of Dahal.
Police had arrested Dahal from Belbari, Morang, on Ashoj 4. His daughter had filed the habeas corpus petition at the Supreme Court, arguing that his arrest was unlawful.
