KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal held a bilateral meeting with his Finnish counterpart, Elina Valtonen, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Minister Khanal conveyed sincere gratitude, on behalf of the Government and people of Nepal, for Valtonen’s condolences and sympathy following the loss of life and property caused by the recent devastating floods and landslides in Nepal.
The two ministers also exchanged views on various aspects of Nepal-Finland relations and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral ties and enhance cooperation through multilateral platforms in areas of mutual interest, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
