KATHMANDU: Both houses of the Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet today.
The meeting of the House of Representatives, scheduled for 11:00 am at Singha Durbar, is likely to see Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam present the Free Legal Aid Bill, 2083.
Similarly, Minister for Infrastructure Development Sunil Lamsal will present a proposal seeking consideration of the Waste Management Bill, 2083.
Similarly, the National Assembly is scheduled to meet at 1:15 pm. At today’s meeting, National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal will brief the House on the status of a letter received from the Office of the President.
Similarly, the concerned ministers will answer oral questions related to the Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies.
On behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle will present the Annual Report of the Public Service Commission for the fiscal year 2081/82 to the House.
Similarly, Krishna Prasad Poudel, chairperson of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee, will present the Annual Report of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee for the fiscal year 2082/83.
Meanwhile, meetings of five parliamentary committees are also scheduled to take place today.
According to the scheduled programme, meetings of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee; State Management and Good Governance Committee; Education, Health and Information Technology Committee; Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee; and Parliamentary Hearing Committee will be held.
