RSP approves schedule for first national general convention



KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has approved the preparatory work schedule for its first national general convention.

The party’s Central Election Commission has informed provincial and district presidents about the convention preparation timeline.

According to the approved schedule, election committees must be formed in all 77 districts and seven provinces by Jestha 15. Similarly, reports from local and district conventions must be collected by Jestha 20, while district convention and election reports are to be submitted by Jestha 30.

Likewise, the list of convention representatives must be submitted by Jestha 25. By Asar 5, details of elected office bearers from provincial conventions will be submitted, along with discussions on electronic voting, according to Central Election Commission Deputy Chief Ram Gurung.

The RSP is scheduled to hold its first national general convention in Chitwan on Asar 7, 8, and 9.
