KATHMANDU: The government has formed a committee under the coordination of Survey Department Deputy Director General Sushil Dangol to study the technical aspects of the border issue between Bajura and Humla districts and submit a report.
The decision was taken during a meeting held at Singha Durbar on Sunday under the chairpersonship of Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal.
The committee will include one representative each from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, and the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration.
Similarly, representatives from the Offices of the Chief Ministers and Council of Ministers of Karnali Province and Sudurpashchim Province will also serve as members of the committee.
A director from the Survey Department has been assigned the responsibility of member-secretary.
The meeting was attended by Land Ministry Secretary Madan Bhujel, press and research expert to Prime Minister Balendra Shah, Deepa Dahal, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs Anand Kafle, and Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Prakash Dahal.
Also present were Survey Department Director General Prakash Joshi, Under Secretary at the ministry Bhim Budha, Survey Department Director Dayanand Joshi, and Survey Officer Jyoti Dhakal.
