Shishuwa–Khudikhola road upgradation completed

POKHARA: The 4.14 km Shishuwa–Khudikhola road in Pokhara Metropolitan City–30 has been upgraded as part of an expansion project.

Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Dhanraj Acharya inaugurated the upgraded road under the Urban Government and Infrastructure Project.

He said efforts are underway to speed up the ongoing Talchowk–Begnas road project and directed the construction company to complete the work within the next three months.

Similarly, Rupa Rural Municipality Chairperson Navaraj Ojha stressed the need to extend the road up to the Tanahun–Lamjung corridor.

Project engineer Nabin Gautam said the construction was completed using a loan of Rs 489.63 million from the World Bank.

The upgraded road is 15 metres wide and includes two lanes. It also features drainage systems, bicycle lanes, and pedestrian walkways on both sides to ensure proper rainwater management and safer mobility.
