NEW YORK: Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal held a bilateral meeting with US Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker in New York.
According to the Nepali mission in New York, the meeting discussed Nepal-US relations, as well as relief and reconstruction efforts following the recent floods in the Bhote Koshi area.
Khanal and Hooker also discussed continued US support for Nepal’s reconstruction efforts, the mission said.
Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, Permanent Representative to the United Nations Lok Bahadur Thapa and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
