NRB fixes foreign currency exchange rates for Saturday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for Saturday.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 152.81, while the selling rate is Rs 152.41.

Similarly, one European euro is fixed at a buying rate of Rs 177.17 and a selling rate of Rs 177.86, while the British pound sterling stands at Rs 206.06 for buying and Rs 206.87 for selling.

The Swiss franc is set at Rs 194.20 for buying and Rs 194.97 for selling. The Australian dollar is priced at Rs 108.85 (buying) and Rs 109.27 (selling), while the Canadian dollar is set at Rs 110.76 and Rs 111.19 respectively.

Likewise, the Singapore dollar is fixed at Rs 119.34 for buying and Rs 119.81 for selling. Ten Japanese yen are set at Rs 89.60 (buying) and Rs 9.64 (selling). The Chinese yuan stands at Rs 22.49 for buying and Rs 22.58 for selling.

In addition, the Saudi Arabian riyal is fixed at Rs 40.72 for buying and Rs 40.88 for selling, while the Qatari riyal is set at Rs 41.94 and Rs 42.10 respectively.

NRB stated that these rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that commercial banks may set slightly different exchange rates, and updated rates will be available on the central bank’s official website.
