NRB issues today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the foreign exchange rates for today.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs. 153.68, while the selling rate stands at Rs. 154.28.

The buying rate of one Euro is Rs. 175.56 and the selling rate is Rs. 176.25. Similarly, the buying and selling rates for one UK pound sterling have been fixed at Rs. 206.36 and Rs. 207.17, respectively. The buying rate of one Swiss franc is Rs. 189.79, while the selling rate is Rs. 190.53.

Among other major currencies, the buying and selling rates for one Australian dollar have been set at Rs. 107.95 and Rs. 108.37, respectively. One Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs. 109.34 and sold at Rs. 109.76, while one Singapore dollar is valued at Rs. 119.15 for buying and Rs. 119.61 for selling.

The buying and selling rates for 10 Japanese yen have been fixed at Rs. 9.45 and Rs. 9.48, respectively. One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs. 22.71 and sold at Rs. 22.80. Likewise, one Saudi Arabian riyal is valued at Rs. 40.93 for buying and Rs. 41.09 for selling, while one Qatari riyal is being bought at Rs. 42.16 and sold at Rs. 42.32.

According to Nepal Rastra Bank, one Thai baht has a buying rate of Rs. 4.57 and a selling rate of Rs. 4.58. The buying and selling rates for one UAE dirham are Rs. 41.84 and Rs. 42.00, respectively. One Malaysian ringgit is being bought at Rs. 37.58 and sold at Rs. 37.73.

The buying and selling rates for 100 South Korean won are Rs. 10.41 and Rs. 10.45, respectively. Meanwhile, one Swedish krona is valued at Rs. 15.90 for buying and Rs. 15.96 for selling, while one Danish krone is being bought at Rs. 23.48 and sold at Rs. 23.58.

The buying and selling rates for one Hong Kong dollar have been fixed at Rs. 19.60 and Rs. 19.67, respectively. One Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs. 499.45 and sold at Rs. 501.40.

Similarly, one Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of Rs. 407.56 and a selling rate of Rs. 409.15, while one Omani rial is valued at Rs. 399.15 for buying and Rs. 400.71 for selling.

The buying rate for Indian Rs. 100 has been fixed at Rs. 160.00, while the selling rate stands at Rs. 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that the rates set by commercial banks may differ from the central bank’s reference rates. The latest exchange rates are available on the Nepal Rastra Bank website.
