KAILALI: Nepali Communist Party (NCP) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said discussions on a possible three-party equation are ongoing, though no final agreement has been reached yet.
Addressing the NCP Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly Parliamentary Party meeting, Prachanda said the talks have been positive but remain inconclusive. He also indicated that a decisive discussion would be held with Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa later today.
“There are discussions on the three-party understanding, but no final decision has been made,” he said. “Talks have been held with Congress leaders, and I will hold a decisive meeting with the party president this evening.”
During the meeting, Parliamentary Party leader Khagaraj Bhatta briefed members on the provincial assembly situation and the party’s current standing, after which introductions of parliamentary party members were conducted.
Prachanda also stressed the need for unity within the party and its parliamentary structure. “The party must remain united. Differences should be resolved through dialogue,” he said, warning that disciplinary action could be taken if parliamentary party decisions were bypassed.
