CPN-UML holding Secretariat meeting today



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML is holding a meeting of its Secretariat today to discuss several organizational agendas, including the finalisation of responsibilities among party leaders.

According to UML Central Office Secretary Dr. Bhishma Adhikari, the meeting is scheduled for 11:30 am at party Chairman KP Sharma Oli’s residence in Gundu, Bhaktapur. The meeting is expected to finalise the proposed redistribution of responsibilities among leaders.

The proposed reshuffle, put forward by Chairman Oli, will be discussed and, if agreed upon, implemented through the party’s internal Inter-Party Directive (IPD).

Under the proposed arrangement, Secretary Bhanubhakta Dhakal has been assigned organizational responsibility, while Central Member Sher Bahadur Tamang is proposed for the school department, Bishal Bhattarai for mass organizations, and Dr. Surya Pathak for publicity and publication.

The vice chairpersons and deputy general secretaries are expected to oversee coordination and monitoring of various departments.
