Prachanda says Home Minister did the right thing by resigning



KATHMANDU: Pushpa Kamal Dahal, coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party, has said Home Minister Sudhan Gurung did the right thing by resigning from his post.

Speaking to journalists at the party office in Paris Danda on Wednesday, Dahal said Gurung’s decision to step down after questions were raised about him was appropriate.

Responding to a question from journalists regarding the resignation, Dahal briefly commented, “What he did was good.”

Home Minister Gurung resigned from his position on Wednesday after being drawn into controversy.
