Sudan Kirati resigns from Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party

KATHMANDU: Leader of the Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party, Sudan Kirati, has resigned from even the party’s general membership.

Kirati announced his decision through a Facebook post on Wednesday, ending his nearly five-month-long association with the party.

Expressing gratitude, he thanked party leaders for their guidance, colleagues for their cooperation, and staff members for their support. He described his time in the party as a valuable experience.

Kirati stated that although his formal ties with the organization have ended, mutual respect, goodwill, and friendly relations would continue in the future.

He also pledged to remain committed to serving the country and its people, vowing not to step back from the path of social transformation regardless of circumstances.

Acknowledging that his future political journey may not be easy, Kirati said he would continue to move forward, guided by public trust and the sacrifices of martyrs.
